The Syracuse Women's Information Center is one of only three free-standing Women's Centers in the United States. Founded in 1972 at the height of the Women's Movement, "INFO" has a rich history of providing service, information, support and safe space for all women in the Central New York Area. As the needs of women have evolved over time, so has the Center.
Today, INFO houses several Therapists and Women's Empowerment providers, sponsors on-going groups for survivors of trauma and those in recovery from substance abuse. The Center provides safe space for our community to gather for a myriad of classes, trainings, support groups, rituals, Community Choir events, dance group meetings, Red Tents and many many other events. We place special emphasis on using our space for the continued growth of women to enrich the talents, skills and energies for the many roles women balance everyday.
The Syracuse Women's Information Center is a registered 501(C3) Not-for-Profit Organization. Our Board of Directors is made up of local women volunteers dedicated to the shared vision, principles of women's empowerment, inclusion and the Center's Mission Statement. Anyone is welcome to visit the Center for information or to reserve space for private use.
